2016 was an amazing year for our Capture The Stars astrophotography workshops. We held two successful workshops in Maine's Acadia National Park where we had over 15 attendees join us to learn our methods to capture the night skies in New England. Our participants ranged from brand new to the genre to a few years of experience and they all walked away with more knowledge and huge smiles.
Location, location, location! While Acadia National Park will remain on the 2017 schedule, we are happy to announce that we will be bringing Capture The Stars to Cape Cod National Seashore with a visit to Nauset Lighthouse in May and Popham Beach State Park with a visit to Pemaquid Lighthouse in July.
With 2017 right around the corner, we are bringing you even more! Instead of four days and three nights, we've added an additional day an night to give more time to absorb the incredible amounts of information we have to offer you. We will be working with the same itinerary of still images, blended images, focus stacking, panoramas, and time lapse. With the extra time added, we will be spending even more time on each subject.
We totally understand that life can be extremely busy and finding time for a week long photography adventure might be a tough one to fit in, especially when it comes to work and family. We've decided to offer a special option for those with a lot on their plate. That's right, sign up to join us for two days and one night under the stars! Whether you want to learn time lapse in Acadia National Park or blended exposures in Cape Cod, you have the option.
Last but not least, our new commercial! We brought along filmmaker, Jared Blash to capture the events as the unfolded during the 2016 workshop in Acadia. Jared spent countless hours walking around with his gimbal to film our attendees in the field and in the classroom to bring you just a taste of what you'll experience when signing up for a workshop with us.
